THE OBJECTIVES OF THE BROME LAKE LAND FOUNDATION ARE:
To maintain tracts of forest and wetlands in a natural state to preserve wilderness and its enjoyment by members of the local community.
To carry out other activities that will help preserve the rural nature of the region and promote the maintenance of forest, wetlands, and productive farm land and the establishment of wildlife sanctuaries.
To promote, in co-operation with other organizations, public information on the conservation of natural resources.
To encourage other groups to engage in the same activities.
The Brome Lake watershed is the principle, but not the only, area of interest to the Foundation.
RECENT PROJECT:
The foot path through Fisher Woods is narrow and quite wet in places. The Foundation has installed small culverts to allow water to flow under the path and has spread wood chips on the path to provide a better trail for hikers and cross-country skiers.
